Mauna Kea Koa Jewelry
I see the Mauna everyday on the way to work. The Ku Kia'i Mauna movement
inspired me to produce a statement using the the triangle to rep all mauna
and the inner six triangles to rep Maunakea, Maunaloa, Hualalai, Kohala, Kilauea and Lo'ihi. -Designer
All Things Hawaiian uses real authentic recycled Koa Wood from Hawai'i. We believe in keeping the spirit of Aloha alive by providing real Hawaiian Koa products that are made by the locals in Hawai'i..Koa wood only grows here in Hawaii. In Ancient times of King Kamehameha, Only Royalty were allowed to own it. Koa was used for Outrigger Canoes, Surfboards, Lua Weapons, Ukuleles, Beautiful Bowls for Sacred Ceremony and now gorgeous jewelry and modern products for all to enjoy. In Hawaiian, Koa means Brave and Courageous and it was thought that whoever owns koa will grow in those virtues.
All wood used is solid koa gathered from the slopes of Mauna Kea. We do not cut any trees. The trees are Protected and We wait until they Offer themselves before we make good use of this precious wood. We do help with reforestation efforts.
